A few weeks ago I bought a sketch book to inspire me to create concepts prior to sketching an initial episode. This process has been extremely helpful in preparing ideas for the current DJ Battle. I usually sketch/ink the episodes over the weekend and the sketch book has allowed me to try out different ideas and styles while preventing me from having a re-drawing fit on the nice, Bristol paper I use to conjure episodes.
I had some challenges creating a believable caricature of Kid Capri, but I finally got it to where I was comfortable. My attempt at the late, great DJ AM wasn’t so bad while Zombie Todd is destined to be bigger, meaner and dead-er…lol
I hope the pending episodes that these sketches inspire, will be stellar additions to the APNF library.
With less than two weeks left in our Kickstarter campaign for PUG PLEASE! I thought it was time for another video update.
