As lovers of all things soulful, the APNF crew are huge Eric Roberson (aka Erro) fans — but due to the whole “being a dog” thing, they can’t afford to see him perform live. If anyone can get them in, D’Maurice “DMo” Macklin, can make it happen.
In addition to DMo being Eric’s right-hand man/backup singer/road manager/brother-from-another-mother, he’s also a dope vocalist in his own right and just a super funny dude to be around.
DMo is also one half of Duocity, a Dallas-based blend of “soul and satire” he formed with the lovely Claudia Melton. Be sure to catch DMo doing his thing on tour with Erro this Spring.
I’ll be checking them out this weekend along with Avery*Sunshine — which is why I decided to have fun with the quintessential soul jokester. Over the past couple years, he has been a source of laughter, encouragement and inspiration.
I told you I was gonna get ya, man!
