Sketch 2 Screen: Episode 1 of 4

The webcomic community continues to be a great source of encouragement, constructive criticisms and techniques. The process of creating the webcomic — from pencil sketch to Photoshop-coloring / Illustrator-lettering — is something I strive to perfect with each episode. I’ve read numerous tutorials and watched countless videos on webcomic creation and benchmarked the methods that work best for me.

I’m working on a 4-episode series of time-lapsed videos that capture the creation of APNF episodes — the Sketch 2 Screen series.

The purpose of these videos is to illustrate (no pun intended) the creative process and see what I modify. In the interim, it’s also a cool way to display how the episodes are developed.

Enjoy.
